The film Sayounara Konbanwa (A Girl in My Room), released in Japan in October 2022,
is the world’s first to have its music produced using AdPower Sonic.
We spoke with composer Yoshiki Yamamoto and sound mixer Kenichi Ishidera about their
experience using AdPower Sonic in production.
Yamamoto is a composer and producer known for his work with various artists, as well as
composing for films, theater, and commercials, with a reputation for catchy melodies and
emotional arrangements.
Ishidera, a veteran sound engineer, has worked on numerous hit films and TV shows, winning
the Best Sound Recording award at the 33rd Japan Academy Prize for Mt. Tsurugi: The Spirit of a Point.

Both professionals used AdPower Sonic during the film’s music production and noted a significant
improvement in sound quality.
They highlighted its effectiveness in noise reduction and enhancing clarity, particularly in how the
guitar tones matched the actors’ emotional expressions.
They also believe AdPower Sonic enhances the overall sound experience for audiences and see
great potential for its broader applications.
